The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is a public research university located in the vibrant city of Los Angeles in Southern California. The enormous campus, surrounded by a city renowned as a hub for film and technology, is an adventure in itself. Filled with giant parks and a vast network of towering buildings, you’ll need a map to navigate the area. However, you can explore the campus using an electric scooter like your fellow classmates. Even though the university is known for its Economics and Psychology majors, all students partake in the university’s tradition of screaming — whether as a part of “Midnight Yell,” where students scream during finals to relieve some stress, or during a sports event against the university’s rival school, USC. The university’s athletics teams are known as the Bruins.
